Role Purpose As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in our growing Americas consulting practice, engaging in all aspects of the consulting process – from shaping opportunities and performing analysis to working closely with clients and WoodMackenzie experts to develop insights that support critical strategic decisions. The role requires creative thinking, problem‑solving, strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, and will involve regular travel throughout the Americas and occasionally abroad. Examples of recent projects our Consulting practice has engaged in: Worked with a renewable power generation company within a wider infrastructure fund to develop a growth strategy supported by future power market trends. Conducted an opportunity screening exercise for a large European infrastructure player considering an asset or company acquisition in the North American natural gas, NGL, hydrogen and CO₂ midstream and storage industry. Evaluated a U.S. hydrogen filling station business, analysing market dynamics, supply and environmental attributes, and providing a financial evaluation to support first‑of‑kind financing. Identified key industry trends and established strategic initiatives for a national oil company to thrive through the upcoming energy transition. Advised a leading North American financial institution on financing opportunities in the carbon capture, utilisation and sequestration (CCUS) space in North American and European markets. Main Responsibilities Lead and execute complex analysis of commodity or power markets and project economics using industry research and expertise. Build and present compelling presentations conveying key messages and recommendations concisely for senior audiences. Collaborate cohesively with project teams under the guidance of a project manager/director. Train and coach junior team members on day‑to‑day consulting tasks to ensure successful project delivery. Build and leverage a thorough and current understanding of energy markets and energy transition themes to discuss recent events and implications with clients and colleagues. Knowledge & Experience Required Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience – management consulting, energy‑related consulting, or a commercial, analytical or technical role in the energy or natural resources sector. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant quantitative or science discipline such as business, economics, finance, statistics, or engineering. MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.
