We’re hiring Seasonal Ice Rink Staff to join the Silverton Christmas Market team! This festive event runs from November 20 – December 31 and features more than 2 million lights, vendors, food, attractions, and holiday fun. ⛸️✨

Previous ice rink experience is not required. We’re looking for active, coordinated people with good balance who are comfortable being on the ice and enjoy interacting with guests. Previous skating experience is helpful, but not required.

Ice Rink Staff rotate between working on the ice and assisting guests at the skate counter.

JOB HIGHLIGHTS

• Skate on the rink to monitor guest activity and help maintain a safe and orderly environment
• Assist guests who need help while on the ice
• Provide friendly reminders about rink rules and safe skating
• Stay alert to potential safety concerns and respond when guests need assistance
• Rotate between on-ice responsibilities and the skate counter
• Hand out rental skates and assist guests with skate needs
• Receive, disinfect, and organize returned skates
• Regularly check the rink and surrounding areas for rental skates that have not been returned
• Help keep the skate counter and rink area clean and organized
• Provide friendly and helpful service to guests of all ages

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Active, coordinated, and comfortable with activities that require good balance
• Comfortable being on the ice and able to develop confidence on skates quickly
• Previous skating experience is helpful, but not required
• Friendly, attentive, and comfortable interacting with guests of all ages
• Safety-minded and comfortable providing reminders about rink rules
• Comfortable alternating between active on-ice duties and working at the skate counter
• Dependable and able to work well as part of a team
• Comfortable standing and staying active for extended periods
• Able to work in cold and changing winter conditions
• Available to work evening shifts, typically around 4:30–9:15 PM. Shift times vary by position and event needs.
