Job Description:


- Assess and respond to the individual physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients through personal observation and meaningful interaction.
- Act as a passionate patient advocate, ensuring every voice is heard.
- Utilize your professional nursing skills and judgment to implement effective nursing care and address identified problems.
- Communicate patient assessments clearly to the appropriate individuals, guaranteeing seamless coordination of care.
- Demonstrate your knowledge of diagnostic measures, including labs, radiology, and EKGs; show off your IV therapy skills!
- Transcribe and implement physicians' orders accurately and promptly while efficiently admitting patients to the surgical center.
- Document patient clinical records with precision and timeliness, ensuring all information complies with surgical procedures.
- Provide extensive and knowledgeable instruction to patients and their families, enhancing their understanding and comfort.
- Effectively manage supplies according to policy, balancing cost containment without compromising quality patient care.
- Lend a hand with housekeeping duties, contributing to a clean and comforting environment for patients.
- In PACU, use critical thinking to provide exceptional nursing care, maintaining airways, monitoring vital signs, controlling pain, and collaborating with surgeons and anesthesiologists.
- Familiarize yourself with the transfer process for seamless patient transitions to the medical center.
- As a float nurse, maintain communication across all areas, supporting staff to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Work in pain management and eye laser procedure rooms, contributing your expertise where it matters most.
- Assist with anesthesia supplies, nerve blocks, and be aware of emergency medication locations and equipment.
- Participate in committee meetings, provide constructive feedback, and seek guidance when needed.
- Embrace other duties as assigned, showcasing your versatility and dedication.
