Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with 2+ years of experience in breast imaging, requiring ARRT and Illinois IEMA licensure (if applicable), for a Level 1 Trauma Center teaching hospital.

Details

• Mammography unit with 3 onsite locations and 1 offsite location
• Breast patient population including screening, diagnostic, and breast procedure exams
• Offsite location performs screenings only
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• 8-hour day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Weekend rotation of every other Saturday
• No on-call requirements
• May float between onsite and offsite campuses based on need

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist required
• Current BLS and ARRT certification required
• Illinois IEMA License required prior to start (not required for interview)
• License required if applicable
• 3D mammography, screening, and diagnostic exam experience required
• Stereotactic biopsy experience required
• Hologic equipment experience required
• PenRad and DEXA Scan experience required
• QA experience on mammography units preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Level 1 Trauma Center, Level II NICU, Primary Stroke Center, teaching hospital with Magnet Designation
• Facility requires COVID vaccination
• Unit supported by a supervisor, with RT and hospitalist coverage available 24/7
• Orientation includes at least one shift to learn unit flow
• Time off requests must be approved through the manager
• Caribbean Blue scrub color required
• Free parking available
• First-time travelers considered upon review
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
• Former employees of the health system must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignments
