AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION OFFICER (CLASS CODE 8053)

Provide efficient operations of roadways, terminals, and ground transportation activities for passengers and airport personnel. General supervision of commercial vehicle operations and traffic control in terminals and on roadways. Monitor and enforce safety and security regulations and policies. Qualifications Minimum age: 21 years. High School graduation or GED. A current valid Louisiana Driver's License. The following may be disqualifying: Felony or numerous misdemeanor convictions. Unstable or unsatisfactory work history. History of illegal drug usage. Six months of experience in law enforcement, private/public security operations, airport security, or a customer service‑related field that includes experience operating personal computers, associated software, and handling two‑way radio operations. Probationary Requirements This position requires a one (1) year probationary period during which applicants must successfully complete a training program. The probationary period may not exceed one (1) year.
