Medical Unit Receptionist

The Medical Unit Receptionist will be supporting The Renal Limb Preservation Unit, a 41-bed specialty unit caring for patients with acute kidney injury, end-stage renal disease, and complex limb preservation needs. Many patients also have diabetes, peripheral artery disease, chronic wounds, or ulcers.

What You'll Do:

• Greet patients and visitors - answering questions and providing comfort
• Scheduling: Booking, confirming and rescheduling appointments, tests, and procedures
• Administrative tasks: support in managing patient intake forms, updating records in the system, filing, data entry, ordering supplies
• Communication expert! Relaying messages between patients and medical staff

What We're Looking For:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: One year experience in healthcare, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Experience with answering multiple phone lines. Basic computer skills. Excellent customer service behaviors.
