Director of Safety & Quality Management - Aviation

Job Description Job Description We are seeking anexperienced Director of Safety to lead and advance our Safety, Environmental,and Quality Management Systems for a growing aviation organization. Thisleadership role is responsible for fostering a proactive safety culture whileensuring compliance with FAA regulations and industry standards. The idealcandidate will have a strong background in FAA Part 135 operations, with AirMedical industry experience highly preferred, and a proven ability to drivecontinuous improvement across safety and quality initiatives. Location: Tempe, AZ (Headquarters). Relocation assistance is available for qualifiedcandidates. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree inAviation, Safety Management, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a relatedfield (or equivalent experience). Extensive knowledge of FAAPart 135 operations. Experience leading SafetyManagement Systems in an aviation environment. Thorough understanding of 14CFR Part 5 Safety Management Systems. Strong knowledge of accidentprevention, risk management, industrial safety, and loss control principles. Knowledge of OSHA, EPA,ANSI, FAA, CAMTS, IS-BAO, and other applicable regulatory standards. Working knowledge ofWorkers' Compensation laws and related case management. Demonstrated leadership,communication, and organizational skills. Air Medical industryexperience, Preferred. Professional safetycertifications (CSP, SMS, or similar) are a plus. Experience leading qualitymanagement and continuous improvement initiatives.
