# Job Opportunity – Ortho Trauma Specialty Registered Nurse – Texas**Start Date:** August 2026 **Location:** North Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Day or Night Shift available; Patient ratio 1:5 (may flex to 1:6); 4 weekend shifts per commitment period**Highlights:** - 36-bed Ortho Trauma Specialty Medical-Surgical unit within a well-established acute care facility- Patient population includes polytrauma, non-surgical cervical fractures, downgraded traumatic brain injuries, and burn downgrades- Telemetry monitoring and Meditech EMR system- Strong team-based culture with dedicated charge nurses, RN staff, and CNA support on every shift- Float to other Medical-Surgical units as needed to expand clinical experience**Requirements:** - Active RN license or multi-state compact license- Minimum 1 year Medical-Surgical experience required- Current BLS certification- Ortho and/or Trauma patient experience strongly preferred- Ability to manage drips (Heparin, Protonix) and patients with up to 3 drains**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This role offers the chance to work with a complex and rewarding patient population in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
