Shipping and Receiving Clerk / Driver / General Laborer in Madison, AL

This role combines shipping and receiving, driving, and general labor responsibilities to support efficient logistics operations. You will handle incoming and outgoing shipments, transport packages using a company vehicle, and assist with inventory, facilities upkeep, and custodial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments, unload materials, and verify contents against shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging, labeling, and staging materials for pickup or delivery.
• Operate a company-provided vehicle to pick up, transport, and drop off various packages in a safe and timely manner.
• Load and unload materials from vehicles and warehouse storage areas using appropriate equipment, including forklifts where authorized.
• Maintain accurate inventory records by counting, tracking, and organizing materials in the warehouse.
• Coordinate with logistics and warehouse personnel to ensure on-time shipment and receipt of goods.
• Perform general labor tasks such as moving materials, organizing storage areas, and maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse.
• Support facilities maintenance by assisting with basic repairs, upkeep, and organization of work areas as needed.
• Carry out custodial maintenance tasks, including cleaning and maintaining common areas, workspaces, and equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies related to driving, forklift operation, material handling, and warehouse operations.
• Report any shipment discrepancies, damaged goods, or equipment issues to the appropriate personnel promptly.

This is a contract to hire position based out of Madison, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
