Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A specialty pharmacy is seeking a Louisiana-licensed Pharmacist to support medication therapy management (MTM) and managed care operations. This role involves onsite production work within a specialty pharmacy environment located in Baton Rouge, LA. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., initially for 13 weeks with potential for extension or direct hire.

Responsibilities:

• Perform pharmacy duties within a specialty pharmacy setting, focusing on medication therapy management.
• Handle managed care prescription processes efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with state pharmacy regulations and internal policies.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.

Qualifications:

• Current Louisiana pharmacist license required.
• Also licensed in at least one of the following states, or willing to reciprocate: Alaska, Arkansas, California, District of Columbia, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wyoming.
• Experience in retail or specialty pharmacy environments is essential.
• Strong knowledge of medication therapy management and managed care services.

Work Environment and Schedule:

• Onsite position in Baton Rouge, LA.
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Contract-to-hire opportunity, initially 13 weeks with possibility for extension or permanent placement.
