Position Title: Epic Ambulatory Analyst - Community Connect Implementation Consultant

Employment Type: 18-Month Contract (Consulting)

Location: 100% Remote


Position Summary


We are seeking an experienced Epic Certified Ambulatory Analyst to support a large-scale Epic Community Connect implementation . This consultant will partner with operational, clinical, and technical stakeholders to design, configure, test, and deploy Epic Ambulatory solutions for affiliated community providers. The ideal candidate has extensive experience implementing Epic Ambulatory in Community Connect environments and possesses strong knowledge of ambulatory workflows, provider documentation, clinical content, and integrated Epic applications.


This is a fully remote, 18-month consulting engagement supporting all phases of implementation from discovery through go-live and stabilization.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, build, configuration, and implementation of Epic Ambulatory workflows for Community Connect practices.
• Participate in discovery sessions, workflow analysis, application design, and solution validation with clinical and operational stakeholders.
• Configure Epic Ambulatory functionality including departments, providers, visit types, navigators, SmartTools, preference lists, order workflows, and clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with application teams including Cadence, Prelude, MyChart, Orders, Healthy Planet, and Revenue Cycle to ensure integrated workflow design.
• Develop functional specifications, workflow documentation, build documentation, and testing scripts.
• Perform unit, integrated, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT), resolving defects and validating system functionality.
• Support data conversion, integrated testing, dress rehearsals, cutover activities, and go-live support.
• Provide application support during stabilization and assist with issue resolution, optimization opportunities, and change requests.
• Ensure Epic build aligns with Community Connect standards, organizational governance, and Epic best practices.
• Participate in project status meetings and provide regular updates on build progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications

• Current Epic Ambulatory Certification (active certification required).
• 5+ years of Epic Ambulatory analyst experience.
• Multiple Epic implementation experience, including at least one Community Connect implementation.
• Hands-on experience with Epic Ambulatory design, build, testing, and go-live support.
• Strong understanding of ambulatory clinical workflows and provider documentation.
• Experience developing workflow documentation, test scripts, and build specifications.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a remote consulting environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting multi-specialty ambulatory practices.
• Experience with optimization initiatives following Epic implementations.
• Previous consulting experience within large integrated health systems.
• Familiarity with Community Connect governance and affiliate onboarding processes.

This consultant will play a key role in delivering a successful Epic Community Connect implementation by partnering with clinical and operational teams to configure, test, and deploy scalable ambulatory workflows that enhance provider efficiency, improve patient care, and support long-term operational success.
