Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Alternating Weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit during overnight shifts
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Document patient information and care activities accurately using Cerner EMR
• Participate in alternating weekend coverage as part of the standard schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Alabama or a compact state license
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Strong critical thinking and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
