Registered Nurse Radiation Oncology PRN

Hourly Wage Estimate: $36.50 - $53.25 per hour. Benefits are typically offered for this position, subject to location and qualification. Job Summary As a registered nurse in radiation oncology, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborate with the care team, and support patients and families through treatment. Responsibilities Assess the patient’s condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status. Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient’s medical record. Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response. Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them. Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology. Qualifications Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license. BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. 3-5 years of experience in an oncology department preferred.
