Position Purpose As Assistant Fitness Manager (Personal Training Sales), you will lead the personal training team, drive sales of training packages, and guide new members through welcome workouts and their initial gym experience. You will ensure a healthy client pipeline and foster exceptional member relationships. Responsibilities Ensure daily sales targets are met, especially on weekends or when the Fitness Manager is absent. Promote personal training packages and build strong rapport with members. Achieve personal training and small‑group training sales targets, consistently meeting or surpassing goals. Collaborate with the membership sales team to support new‑member onboarding and smooth transitions. Conduct personalized welcome workouts for new members to evaluate fitness needs and goals. Guide members through their initial club experience, fostering a supportive environment that encourages training sales, retention, and engagement. Facilitate professional development for personal trainers through coaching sessions and ongoing support. Communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to staff, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities. Supervise facility maintenance and cleanliness of equipment, locker rooms, and common areas. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, certifications, and safety protocols. Qualifications 2‑3 years of customer service experience. 1 year of sales experience. 1 year of supervisory experience. Prior fitness industry experience or strong interest. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent relationship‑building and influencing abilities. Detail orientation, systematic problem‑solving, and strong time‑management and organizational skills. Proficiency with MS Office. Strong alignment with our core values. Requirements Availability to work nights and weekends. Successful background check. Valid Personal Training certification. CPR certification required within 30 days of hire. Physical ability to move around the gym, communicate with staff and members, bend, and lift more than 40 lbs. Ability to use the company computer system for documentation and data entry. Compensation Hourly Position – Additional Compensation Eligible Hourly rate: $18—$20 USD Variable income opportunities including commission and bonus. Post‑training salary increase.
