Learn more at marathon.health The Industrial Athletic Trainer is an integral part of the healthcare continuum responsible for a combination of preventative, educational and assessment client facing worksite support. The Industrial Athletic Trainer is responsible for assuring that all employees receive evidence based musculoskeletal care and injury prevention through providing body mechanics education, coaching, ergonomics and safety information, wellness initiatives, early symptom intervention, line walk throughs, and other onsite support. The Industrial Athletic Trainer will also provide as needed annual MSK wellness assessments, initial MSK injury screens, and OSHA level first aid as applicable. The Industrial Athletic Trainer will also maintain a positive working relationship and collaboration with other health professionals and ancillary staff. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide musculoskeletal injury prevention, screening, early intervention, and OSHA first aid. Conduct ergonomic evaluations, body mechanics coaching, POETs, physical demands analyses, and other client-specific assessments. Engage employees across all levels through clear, practical education and training tailored to their needs. Serve as a subject matter expert and deliver customized health, safety, and injury-prevention education. Build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the client organization. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize employee health and workplace outcomes. Accurately and timely document care and client reports within the electronic medical record. Maintain patient confidentiality and a safe, clean work environment in compliance with applicable policies and regulations. Comply with all federal, state, and local legal, professional, and practice requirements. Participate in required Marathon Health training, including EMR training. Identify community health needs and support outreach efforts targeting employees at increased risk for chronic disease or workplace injury. Bachelor's degree in athletic training from a CAATE (Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education) accredited program and a minimum of 2 years' experience working in an industrial setting or 5 years in a professional setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Appropriate state license in good standing required and current BLS certification. Understanding of clinical documentation requirements utilizing electronic medical records software in accordance with state, federal, and company guidelines.
