Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Leading Real Estate Companies of the World We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, managing accounts receivable, and supporting financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls while contributing to the continuous improvement of accounting operations. Key Responsibilities: Execute month-end close activities, including reconciling balance sheet accounts, reviewing general ledger transactions, and posting journal entries Perform bank reconciliations for both parent and subsidiary entities Maintain and verify the general ledger, ensuring accurate transaction coding Review accounts payable transactions and approve outgoing ACH’s and Wires Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports Investigate and analyze financial variances, reporting insights to leadership Assist with annual budget preparation and financial forecasts Generate ad hoc reports for senior leadership and executive teams Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and procedures Assist with external annual audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards Participate in special projects and other financial tasks as assigned Key Relationships: Collaborates with cross-functional teams across departments Interfaces with external partners, including auditors and vendors Requirements Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred) Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience Required Skills and Capabilities: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIF) Effective time management and organizational abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Commitment to meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of accuracy Positive team player with a proactive mindset Equal Opportunity Employer All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status or disabled status.
