The opportunity Our Transaction Real Estate (TRE) professionals help clients make strategic real estate decisions with objective advice. Our clients see us as a vital part of the team that works closely with them to develop capital market strategies for acquiring and disposing of real estate assets, including fund concepts or sale and leaseback structures. Your key responsibilities As a Transaction Real Estate professional, you’ll be the foundation of the group and pivotal to the department’s success by getting involved with every aspect of our service offerings. You’ll assist in real estate valuation and advisory engagements, working across a variety of clients including owners, developers, builders, financial institutions, lenders and pension funds, as well as numerous Fortune 500 companies. You will have the opportunity to be part of a larger Corporate Finance team that creates and delivers broad, analytics-enabled solutions that align to our client’s focus on corporate finance, strategy, buy and integrate or sell and separate decisions, and reshaping of results. Skills and attributes for success To qualify for the role, you must have: Progress towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Real Estate or Finance (with an emphasis in Real Estate). Real estate industry experience or a demonstrated interest in the real estate industry. The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship, now and in the future. The expectation for this role is in person teaming, at client site or in an EY office, a minimum of 60% of the time or on average 3 days a week over the course of an engagement, project or performance year Ideally, you will have: A preferred cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher (on a 4.0 scale). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. A working knowledge of real estate software (i.e., Argus, CoStar) is preferred. Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations. Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $88,000 to $100,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
