Social Worker – Marin County Starting Salary: Bachelor's Degree: $58,083 - $69,700 | Master's Degree: $64,008 - $76,810 Are you looking to make an impact and do work you are passionate about? GGRC is committed to assisting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead lives of liberty and opportunity. We are currently hiring Social Workers in our San Rafael Office. Where will I work? This role offers a hybrid schedule, giving you the opportunity to work with clients in their homes in Marin County, from our San Rafael office, and from the comfort of your own home. What you’ll do Under the direction of the designated Supervising Social Worker, you will assess the needs of developmentally disabled individuals and their families using person‑centered practices. You will develop and implement Individual Program Plans, coordinate associated services, and manage a wide range of active cases. Your responsibilities include: Designing, implementing, monitoring, and revising Individual Program Plans Initiating and terminating regional center funding and ensuring purchased services are provided Preparing required reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner and maintaining records in compliance with federal and state requirements Advocating for individuals and families to ensure receipt of entitled services and protection of client rights Encouraging participation and ensuring effective use of existing community resources Initiating referrals, monitoring progress of services, evaluating effectiveness, and identifying gaps in community services Providing intake and outreach services as assigned, and participating in internal and community committees and task forces Key Competencies Knowledge of principles, objectives, and techniques of counseling individuals Knowledge of normal and abnormal individual and group behavior, human growth and development, and family relationships Knowledge of community structure and organization and how to intervene constructively on behalf of individuals supported Knowledge of identifying and navigating generic services, and typical and atypical child development behavior Ability to interview skillfully Ability to work independently, exercise judgment in decision-making, and cooperate as part of an interdisciplinary team Ability to stimulate cooperation of individuals supported, their families, and community agencies Ability to speak and write effectively Ability to maintain clear and concise case records Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school (social welfare or related human services field preferred but not required) Demonstrated interest in working with persons with developmental special needs Access to reliable transportation Benefits We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical and dental benefits with generous employer contributions, and additional employer‑paid life, disability and vision coverage. 10% employer contribution to a 403(b) retirement account.
