Job Summary Design and build tooling to meet CTP’sfabrication needs Maintain digital/electronic data. Program and operate CNC equipment Analyzes drawings, sketches, and designdata of part to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selectionof cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates Evaluates tool designs and coordinateswith engineering for appropriate changes. Analyzes and designs machine holdingfixtures for parts. Computes angular and linear dimensions,radii, and curvatures, and outlines sequence of operations required tomachine part. Prepares geometric layout using MasterCAMsoftware to show location of reference points and direction of cuttingpaths. Writes instruction sheets, check sheets,and cutter lists to guide setup and operation of machine. Write programs for multi- axis CNCmilling machines / routers. Resolves CNC program and associatedmanufacturing issues with all relevant departments. Support manufacturing and otherdepartments as an internal customer. Perform cost analysis and tradeoffimprovement studies.Creates operation sheets, tool drawings,and detail drawings. Responsible for the proper handling andmanagement of hazardous waste generated in their work area. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Qualifications Experiencein the design, development and application of tools and production methodsrelated to CNC Machining Abilityto manage numerous projects and meet deadlines as required Abilityto work independently and a good memory for detail Stronganalytical and communication skills and meticulous work habits Overtimeand weekend work as needed to support the Customer Read andunderstand internal procedures and policies Understandand follow through on both verbal and written instructions Teamoriented with a continuous improvement outlook Required Experience and Education BSdegree in Engineering; and/or related experience in job function and/ortraining; equivalent combination of education and experience.
