Registered Nurse - Stepdown/Progressive Care

Schedule

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 36 hours guaranteed

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Stepdown/Progressive Care unit. The ideal candidate will provide specialized care to patients recovering from surgery, cardiac events, and those with complex conditions. The nurse will utilize advanced monitoring equipment to track vital signs and initiate necessary interventions.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular assessments and recognize subtle changes in patient conditions.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and titrate drips as ordered.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
Educate patients and families on diseases, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of nursing care and patient responses.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in Stepdown/Progressive Care required.
Telemetry monitoring experience required.
Cerner experience required.
Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required.
Active Michigan state RN license required.
