Jefferson County Stone is an underground limestone mine/quarry seeking candidates to fill our need for an off-road Haul Truck Driver in Louisville, KY. The successful candidate for this position will have familiarity and experience operating rigid frame and/or articulated haul trucks and will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operate haul trucks to move shot rock from the mine faces to the crusher and begin the crushing process.
• Perform daily pre-and post- inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
• Effective communication skills applicable to position.
• Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
• Willingness to be cross trained on other heavy equipment.

Qualifications:

• Dedication to safe work practices.
• Previous experience operating both rigid frame haul trucks and/or articulating haul trucks preferred.
• Ability to perform general laborer and clean-up duties on the ground and in the plant as needed/directed.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Must be able to walk, sit, climb, bend, and stoop, for extended periods of time throughout the workday, as required to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.
• Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned by management
