Lead Project Engineer – Americas

Our client, a global leader in the power generation and energy technology industry, is seeking a Lead Project Engineer – Americas to join their team. As a Lead Project Engineer, you will be part of the Project Engineering Department supporting Project Management, Engineering Teams, EPC Partners, and Customer Operations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and a customer-focused mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Greenville, South Carolina (3 positions) Schenectady, New York (3 positions)

Pay Range: $57 per hour

What's the Job?

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers and EPCs
• Provide technical project leadership and coordinate engineering activities across teams
• Lead customer meetings including CKOMs and Design Liaison Meetings (DLMs)
• Manage engineering scope changes, cost/schedule impacts, and change orders
• Resolve cross-functional technical issues and mitigate project risks

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Project Engineering, Design Engineering, or Field Engineering
• Ability to travel approximately 10%–15%
• Strong communication and leadership skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Must Have

• Experience working in Project Engineering, Design Engineering, or Field Engineering
• Customer-facing technical or engineering experience
• Strong communication skills with ability to interface with clients and cross-functional teams
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering OR equivalent experience (5+ years if no degree)
