Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Contract: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, 4 x 12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Patient population: Adults & geriatrics; all emergency diagnoses Ratios: 1:5 (day/night/weekend)

Requirements:

Active state RN license (non-compact)
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications (include valid NIHSS in submittal)
Minimum 1–2 years of experience, with previous ED/trauma/emergency experience strongly preferred
Experience with charting system EPIC

Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in the emergency department
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Monitor and manage critical patient conditions, including cardiac monitoring and airway support
Administer medications and therapeutic procedures as ordered
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation

Compliance / Notes:

Orientation: 24 hours
Weekend requirement: every other weekend
Holiday requirement: available every other holiday, if needed
Floating: required within skillset
Pre-approved time off: one shift allowed
