Chicago, IL Hybrid (3 Days In Office) $85,000-$90,000 Base Salary

A leading global provider of automated material handling and intralogistics solutions is seeking a hands-on Payroll Specialist to support payroll administration and HR operations for a 170-person U.S. workforce. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, improving processes, and wearing multiple hats within a growing organization.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll and maintain employee records utilizing Paychex and related systems.
• Manage timesheet collection and manual payroll inputs while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Support onboarding, offboarding, and employee administration activities.
• Assist with recruiting coordination and general HR functions.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to streamline payroll and reporting processes.
• Provide support for employees working under various visa programs.
• Proactively follow up with employees and managers to obtain required payroll information and documentation.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of payroll and/or HR administrative experience.
• Experience with payroll platforms such as Paychex, ADP, or similar systems .
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data and numbers.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Self-starter with the persistence to drive tasks to completion.
• Immigration and visa experience is a plus.
• Degree not required.
