ANNANDALE — FULL-TIME/PART-TIME COOK/KITCHEN HAND

Explore & Develop Annandale is a privately owned early childhood education and care service currently looking for a passionate and professional cook/kitchen hand to join our team. Our kitchen is the heart of our Centre where beautiful interactions with children, families and educators are encouraged.  We have 56 children per day and provide morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack.  Our Service has recently been awarded an Excellent rating by ACECQA.

Essential Criteria:

Previous experience in a similar role desirable – childcare centre, aged care or similar environment

Experience in providing allergy-safe food

Current Working with Children Check

Food Safety Supervisor Course qualification or willingness to obtain

First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one

About the role:

Food service:

Heat and serve food for each class group ensuring allergy and dietary requirements are met.

Manage kitchen, prepare for each meal and clean up after meals.

Laundry:

All linen is laundered on-site, including bibs, face washers, sheets, tablecloths and soft furnishings.

The kitchen hand is responsible for all laundry.

Ordering:

Help to purchase kitchen and centre consumables, including food supplies, nappies and cleaning chemicals.
