Senior Accountant - This role will support core accounting operations, help drive an accurate and timely close process, and strengthen financial controls across several key areas of the business. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to manage detailed financial work while partnering effectively with internal teams.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting activities across the general ledger, financial reporting, and related subledgers while maintaining compliance with company standards and applicable regulations.

• Support and coordinate the month-end closing process by tracking required tasks, updating close schedules, and helping ensure deadlines are met consistently.

• Maintain and improve accounting policies and procedural documentation, creating new guidance when business needs or regulatory changes require it.

• Partner with the Accounting Manager to reinforce internal controls and strengthen processes that safeguard assets and support reliable financial reporting.

• Lead fixed asset accounting by recording additions and disposals, maintaining asset records, calculating depreciation, and reconciling subledger activity to the general ledger.

• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation to ensure the accuracy and completeness of monthly and quarterly close activities.

• Administer customer rebate accounting, including calculations, reconciliations, reporting, and coordination with cross-functional teams to support agreement compliance and timely payments.

• Reconcile investment and other balance sheet accounts on a recurring basis, verifying transactions, earnings, valuations, and recorded balances against statements and internal records.

• Assist with external financial compilation support by preparing reports, schedules, and reconciliations requested by independent accountants.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

• 5 + years of experience in accounting, auditing, or tax.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to work with complex data analysis tools and reporting functions.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly.

• Experience working within an ERP environment is preferred; CPA certification or active progress toward licensure is preferred.
