Enterprise Data Governance Consultant

We are looking for a skilled consultant to help establish, mature, and sustain enterprise data governance programs.

Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid Must be local to Tennessee)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (EST Shift)

Position Overview

In this role, you will help state departments translate data governance concepts into practical action. You will lead AI governance efforts, facilitate stakeholder meetings, build business glossaries, deliver training, and drive program adoption across teams.

Key Skills & Qualifications Needed

• Data Governance & Strategy: 4 6 years of experience building governance roadmaps, operating models, RACI charts, and business glossaries.

• AI Governance & Compliance: Experience with responsible AI principles, privacy regulations (HIPAA, FERPA, PCI, PII), and frameworks like NIST AI RMF or DAMA-DMBOK.

• Facilitation & Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to lead cross-functional working groups with business, legal, security, and IT leaders.

• Change Management & Communications: Experience driving program adoption through stakeholder messaging, executive briefings, and newsletters.

• Training & Data Quality: Ability to design and deliver role-based training on data quality dimensions, cataloging, and metadata management.

• Preferred Certifications: CDMP, Prosci, PMP, CISA, or CIPM credentials.
