Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.What You Will DoThe engineer in this position will provide project skills and management to the CIPT with a focus in validation supporting development, engine build, instrumentation, and engine test of Pratt and Whitney's F135 ECU High Compressor. The engineer will ensure all HPC milestones are met in support of the Propulsion Validation Plan.The engineer will work with the Validation Lead to plan and manage Test job Requests, DECXs, instrumentation requirements, and engine build. The engineer will be able to represent the IPT to internal and external customers when required. Coordinate with Integrated Product Team Leads and the Product Safety, Certification, and Validation group to meet validation requirements and meet engine test & build milestones.Direct activities using Agile methodology to plan and manage schedule for approximately 14 test engines with builds split between Connecticut and Florida in accordance with program negotiated deliverables.Prepare and present status and technical content to CIPT and Compression Systems Engineering managementWhat You Will LearnManagement of development test engine build All aspects of the validation phase of a development engine programAgile FrameworkCAM (Cost Account Management)Qualifications You Must Have Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering degree with 5+ years experience ORMaster’s in Engineering or MBA, with 3+ years’ experienceU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.Qualifications We PreferMS in Engineering or MBAStrong leadership, communication and organizational skills.Experience in management of test engine requirementsPrior team leadership experience or equivalentDemonstrated ability to organize and execute several components of complex tasks.Trained CAM & Proficiency with Teamcenter, MS Project or other scheduling software and SAP a plus.The ability to operate across a wide range of disciplines and management levels with both internal and external customers to ensure that task requirements are met.
