Server - Beer and Wine

Overview As a Server – Beer and Wine, you will guide guests through ordering food and beverage, provide menu knowledge, deliver quick counter service, and support kitchen staff. The role may also require cross‑training as a restaurant worker, concessionist, box office cashier, or usher based on staffing needs. Responsibilities Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner. Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast‑paced environment to enhance the guest experience. Accurately record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner. Handle all register transactions, maintaining proper cash balance, logging off when away, and reporting any concerns. Verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions. Ensure alcohol is consumed in designated areas only. Consistently use suggestive selling techniques. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure food orders are accurate. Wipe down and sanitize employee and guest high‑contact areas. Properly utilize personal protective equipment while completing position‑specific tasks. Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks. Monitor safety and security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.) and report to management. Perform other work‑related duties as assigned. Requirements Proof of age (must be 18, or 21 in some states). Complete basic food handling training and obtain any required local or state certification. Complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Maintain regular and consistent attendance. Exhibit an energetic and friendly attitude during each shift. Provide excellent guest service. Accurate cash handling and basic math skills. Interpersonal skills to communicate with all ages, genders, and personalities, and be able to converse in and comprehend English. Work in a team environment and independently. Follow direction and take direction. Respond with a sense of urgency. Physical and Environmental Requirements Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.; frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theater; moderate to high noise levels; ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
