Role Description The Behavior Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in the La Crosse-Onalaska area. This role provides one-to-one ABA therapy to children in the clinic, following individualized treatment plans designed by clinical supervisors. Daily responsibilities include implementing behavior intervention strategies, collecting and recording data on skill development and behavior, and supporting children in areas such as communication, social interaction, self-help skills, and school readiness. The Behavior Technician helps children practice skills during structured sessions and naturalistic play, and may assist with activities that prepare them for real-world situations. Collaboration with clinical teams and communication with caregivers are essential to ensure consistent, high-quality support for each child’s progress. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis to implement structured treatment plans and support skill acquisition. Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to interact effectively with children, caregivers, and clinical teams. Candidates should possess Behavioral Intervention skills to apply strategies that reduce challenging behaviors and promote positive alternatives. Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Psychology to understand child development, learning, and behavior. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework in psychology, education, or related fields is preferred. Ability to follow clinical guidance, accurately record data, and maintain confidentiality in accordance with ethical and legal standards. Capacity to work on-site with young children, including sustained engagement, play-based interaction, and adherence to safety protocols.
