Conduct assessments for patients of all agespediatric, adult, and geriatricutilizing a combination of standardized tests and observational methods.
Create tailored treatment plans that focus on patients' immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions aiming to improve language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
Work collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to develop comprehensive care plans.
Provide education to patients and their families to encourage progress and reinforcement outside therapy hours.
Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity throughout the care process.
Keep accurate, timely documentation compliant with all relevant guidelines.
Commit to ongoing learning and knowledge-sharing within the field through continuous education and collaboration with peers.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.
State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods spanning all age groups, with a solid understanding of developmental and acquired communication and swallowing issues.
Exceptional communication skills with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Ability to modify therapy approaches to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical insight and problem-solving capabilities.
Competent in using electronic medical records and adhering to documentation protocols.
