One of our companies is currently looking for a Staff Product Designer - Design System in the United States. In this role, you will lead the creation, maintenance, and evolution of a comprehensive design system that serves as the foundation for the company's products across web and mobile platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product designers, engineers, and brand designers, ensuring that design consistency and high-quality standards are upheld. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the design system and influence the overall user experience across the company's products. Accountabilities: Own the evolution and maintenance of the design system, ensuring its scalability and consistency across all web and mobile platforms Collaborate with product designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to create and refine design system components, patterns, and guidelines Drive the adoption and implementation of the design system across the organization, ensuring its continuous improvement over time Provide mentorship and guidance to the product design team, helping to elevate the overall design quality and practices across the organization Advocate for design excellence by maintaining high standards and fostering a culture of innovation and cohesive user experiences Requirements 6+ years of experience in product design, including significant experience in building products and apps, and working with engineering teams 2+ years of experience in building and maintaining design systems Proven ability to work on consumer products in a startup environment, taking ideas from concept to execution across web and mobile platforms Strong technical understanding of designing for various devices and breakpoints, bridging the gap between design and code Expertise in using Figma and other tools for design and documentation (e.g., Notion, Google Suite, Confluence) Experience mentoring and coaching design teams, with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Knowledge of leveraging user research and quantitative data to inform design decisions Benefits Remote-first work environment with flexible hours Competitive salary package, including equity options Unlimited PTO, recharge days, and travel discounts on SuperTravel Weekly UberEats credit and annual company offsites Generous parental leave and flexible return-to-work plan Comprehensive wellness and development budgets, as well as personal and team-level development funds Great benefits starting from day one, including health insurance, wellness programs, and more Jobgether hiring process disclaimer: This job is posted on behalf of one of our partner companies.
