We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we are looking for candidates who share that same commitment.Job SummaryOperate injection-molding equipment to produce finished plastic components according to defined processes following quality and safety standards.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform initial set-up for machine operationOperate equipment and machinery to produce parts including multi-tasking on more than one machine at a time; may perform assembly of some components; transport trays of parts to and from machinesInterpret work orders including, written, oral and Kanban cards; keep track of production countsMaintain necessary tools and materials for continuous operationInspect final components against specifications looking for small defects to ensure qualityPerform routine maintenance on equipment including clean-up of work area throughout and at end of shiftSupport other operators as needed and may conduct on-the-job training of other operatorsWeigh, pack and label produced parts for distribution to shipping, quality or other areasMaintain records and conduct inventory as necessaryRotate amongst operations and generally work overtime as requiredInform Supervisor of parts or equipment problemsOperate in a LEAN manufacturing environment and strive to suggest process improvementsRequired Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesFamiliar with computer and basic functionalityCommunicate clearly and professionally with internal and external customersWork effectively as part of a team to achieve established outcomes.
