OneSparQ is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic for a growing company in Plymouth, MI.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment, including ovens, conveyor belts, and other critical systems, to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems, including motors, instrumentation, distribution, and feed control components.
• Inspect and replace worn components such as bolts, belts, and other hardware to ensure reliable equipment operation.
• Collaborate effectively with teams across production, sanitation, engineering, and maintenance to support smooth plant operations.
• Maintain an organized maintenance area by applying 5S workplace organization principles.
• Learn and utilize the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system to document maintenance activities and manage work orders efficiently.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical background with experience repairing, installing, and replacing three-phase motors
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing complex conveyor systems
• Basic understanding of HMI systems
• Must supply own hand tools (wrenches, Allen key set, jaw pliers, chain lock)

Additional Skills:

• Experience in the food or baking industry
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting PLCs or VFD systems
• MIG welding experience
