Account Manager, Client Service - Remote

The Client Service Manager is the primary contact for day-to-day account activity and operational service needs for assigned clients. This role coordinates resolution of eligibility, claims, plan setup, reporting, and general service inquiries while building solid client relationships, supporting client satisfaction, and contributing to renewal retention. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. Primary Responsibilities: Serve as the primary client contact for day-to-day operational service needs and deliver responsive, high-quality support Provide internal and external status updates, operational metrics, and service-level reporting Coordinate issue resolution and service enhancements using established procedures and processes Manage issue resolution across functional teams to support timely delivery and clear client communication Conduct ongoing reviews of program setup, features, and client service needs Contribute client insights and operational input to strategic planning for assigned accounts Support contract renewals, fee negotiations, and appropriate product or service expansion opportunities for assigned clients Coordinate implementation of added products and services Identify and support service and system improvements that enhance quality and the client experience Provide system and operational training to clients and internal team members Manage ad hoc requests in accordance with established procedures and quality standards You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: 2+ years of relevant account management or client service experience 2+ years of professional experience in benefits administration, health savings account administration, healthcare account management, or a related healthcare services environment Experience managing client relationships and coordinating the resolution of operational service issues Experience working across functional teams to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and deliverables Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including the ability to create and maintain business communications, reports, and client-facing materials Proven effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain issues, expectations, status, and next steps to clients and internal partners Ability to travel up to 25% for client or business needs Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing accounts through brokers or agencies Experience supporting contract renewals, fee discussions, product implementations, or service expansion opportunities Experience with client reporting, service-level metrics, and operational performance reviews *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
