Security Officer - Armed

Location: Grand Junction, CO 81504 Employment Type: Part-Time Compensation: Up to $18.00 per hour Schedule: Friday to Sunday | 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM Position Overview Citadel Security USA is seeking a professional Armed Mobile Patrol Officer to assist with overnight security operations throughout the Grand Junction area. This position supports multiple client locations and requires a security professional who can work independently, make sound decisions, and maintain a strong security presence during overnight patrol assignments. Officers in this role will travel between properties, perform security inspections, respond to incidents as needed, and document activities accurately. This opportunity is well-suited for individuals who are dependable, observant, and committed to delivering quality security services. Key Responsibilities Mobile Patrol Operations Drive assigned patrol routes and conduct scheduled property checks Inspect building exteriors, parking lots, gates, fences, and access points Verify that designated areas remain secure during overnight hours Maintain a visible patrol presence to help discourage unauthorized activity Monitor multiple client locations according to patrol schedules and post instructions Security Response & Property Protection Identify suspicious behavior, trespassing, vandalism, or potential security threats Investigate unusual conditions and take appropriate action within company guidelines Respond to alarms, security concerns, or client service requests when assigned Report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or property damage to the appropriate contacts Support emergency response efforts when necessary Documentation & Communication Complete detailed activity reports and incident documentation before the end of each shift Record patrol findings accurately using company reporting procedures Maintain communication with supervisors, dispatch personnel, and designated client representatives Provide timely updates regarding incidents, emergencies, or operational concerns Professional Standards Always Represent Citadel Security USA in a professional manner Follow all company policies, client instructions, and site-specific procedures Maintain confidentiality regarding client operations and sensitive information Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment while on duty Required Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age Valid driver's license required Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Ability to meet all Colorado armed security licensing and qualification requirements Must be legally authorized to carry a firearm while performing assigned duties Strong observation, communication, and report-writing skills Ability to work independently during overnight shifts Reliable attendance and dependable work history Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in armed security, mobile patrol, military service, corrections, or law enforcement Experience patrolling multiple properties during a single shift Familiarity with electronic reporting systems and incident documentation Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in rapidly changing situations Equal Opportunity Employer Citadel Security USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
