Make a positive impact supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a contract position just outside of Coraopolis, PA. This full-time opportunity addresses two openings working with students who have multiple disabilities, with a primary focus on autism. As a valued member of the school’s special education team, you’ll develop meaningful relationships and help create a nurturing learning environment that supports student growth.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification for the state of Pennsylvania
• Experience working with students diagnosed with autism and other multiple disabilities
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with staff, students, and families
• Passion for fostering independence and progress in students

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction to students in a classroom setting of approximately 6 (autism focus) and 8 (other disabilities)
• Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans based on IEP goals and student abilities
• Employ evidence-based instructional strategies and positive behavioral interventions
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and other educators
• Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and data tracking
• Foster an inclusive, encouraging, and safe classroom dynamic

Schedule:

• Monday – Thursday: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm
• Friday: 8:30 am – 1:00 pm
• Full-time contract position
