Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiac Med/Surg position in Peoria, IL, requiring a minimum of one year of nursing experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Cardiac Med/Surg unit in an inpatient hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Weekend rotation required
• Holiday rotation required
• May float to other facilities within the Carle Health system
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Lab specimen collection and bedside lab testing skills required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, individualized care planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, documentation, and patient/family education
• Performs bedside lab testing and specimen collection in compliance with provider orders and hospital policies
• Utilizes communication and teamwork strategies to promote high team performance and optimal patient outcomes
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Candidates who have been on continuous assignment with Carle Health for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any Carle Health location
