Banquet Operations Manager

The Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club is seeking a Banquet Operations Manager to lead exceptional events, develop a high performing team, and help create memorable guest experiences. Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000 per year, based on experience Schedule: Flexibility to work a schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business demands. What You’ll Do Lead, coach and develop the banquet team through hands on leadership Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown to ensure seamless operations Manage hiring, onboarding, training and performance management Ensure staffing, room setups, and service standards align with event specifications Partner with catering, culinary, housekeeping, and other departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences Resolve guest concerns and maintain high standards of hospitality and service Manage banquet inventory and operational supplies What We’re Looking For We’re seeking a leader who can inspire a team while maintaining a strong operational focus Preferred Background Proven experience in banquet operations, convention services, catering, hospitality, or large-scale event environments Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of coaching, developing and motivating teams Strong operational knowledge of event planning, service execution and delivering high quality guest experiences Familiarity with Banquet Event Orders and coordinating events according to detailed specifications preferred Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment A commitment to hospitality excellence, attention to detail, and creating memorable experiences for our guests Bonus Points For Experience in a Union environment Event Management Software experience Basic audiovisual (AV) knowledge This role is deal for someone who Enjoys being visible and engaged with their team Takes pride in mentoring and developing others Thrives in a fast-paced, event-driven environment Has a passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences Is ready to expand their leadership responsibilities and grow their career About The Madison Concourse Hotel & Governor’s Club As Madison’s largest convention hotel, The Madison Concourse Hotel features 373 guest rooms, 27,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, 28 meeting rooms, and 6 hospitality suites.
