Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (3x12 Hours, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, including identification and management of dysrhythmias
• Operate bedside monitoring equipment capable of telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry
• Float within scope to other units as needed to meet facility staffing requirements
• Collaborate with charge staff and house supervisors in a unit currently expanding from the ground up
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November) as required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
• Active South Carolina RN license or valid Compact license required prior to start date
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Demonstrated experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias on the unit
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records charting system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a community hospital setting
• First-time travel nurses will be considered
