Buyer

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Buyer to join a dynamic supply chain team supporting a high-performance manufacturing environment. This individual will play a critical role in managing supplier relationships, driving cost efficiency, and ensuring material availability to support production and customer commitments. This is a fully on-site position. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end supplier engagement, including supplier selection, RFQ/RFP processes, and negotiation of cost, delivery schedules, and lead times Own procurement activities for assigned commodities or programs, ensuring alignment with cost, quality, and delivery objectives Lead supplier performance management, including PO execution, change management, and ongoing supplier accountability Collaborate cross-functionally with planning, operations, engineering, quality, and program management teams to meet business objectives Utilize ERP/MRP systems to monitor demand signals, identify risks, and proactively mitigate supply chain disruptions Drive supplier performance improvements through regular scorecards, quarterly business reviews, and corrective action plans Analyze MRP exception messages, PO status, and action reports to ensure continuity of supply Identify and qualify alternate or secondary suppliers, including solutions for obsolete components Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier data within ERP systems Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and operational procedures Support continuous improvement initiatives related to cost reduction, inventory optimization, and supplier consolidation Handle hazardous materials in accordance with safety and environmental guidelines Perform additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in purchasing or supply chain within a manufacturing environment Solid understanding of buying to support the aerospace and defense industries Strong understanding of supplier management and procurement processes Experience working with ERP/MRP systems Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and process flow diagrams Well-versedin using Microsoft Excel daily Ability to work on-site in Huntsville, AR Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred What Success Looks Like Consistent achievement of cost reduction targets and budget adherence Improved supplier performance across delivery, quality, and lead time metrics High level of data accuracy and system integrity Strong cross-functional collaboration resulting in seamless operations and customer satisfaction #J-18808-Ljbffr ManpowerGroup Global, Inc.
