Associate Veterinarian (84663)

Highland Park Pet Hospital, centrally located in Sugarhouse, is seeking a part-time or full-time associate veterinarian to join our rapidly growing small animal hospital, opened in 2022. We are a locally owned , integrative general practice built on a relationship-based approach – emphasizing client education, compassionate care, transparent communication and a commitment to practicing high-quality, evidence-based medicine. We are proud to be one of only a few hospitals in Utah that ethically opposes declawing cats.

Our caseload includes a high volume of dentistry and behavior so special interests in either of these areas would be a HUGE plus! Our facility is equipped with digital radiography, dental radiography and in-house lab equipment. Nearly half of our patients meow, so experience or interest in feline medicine will serve our associate well, though it is not a requirement. We are committed to low-stress, fear-free techniques because we believe honoring the human-animal bond starts with minimizing anxiety for pets and their people.

We utilize our veterinary technicians at a high level. Our doctors are supported by a skilled technical team, allowing them to focus on diagnostics, surgery, case management and client communication - not tasks that can be appropriately delegated. This team-based approach supports excellent medicine and long-term sustainability. We believe practicing good medicine takes time, communication, and teamwork, and we structure our workflow to support that.

We prefer candidates with at least 2-3+ years of clinical experience but will consider exceptional new graduates who align with our culture and standards of care.
