Position Summary

The role involves evaluating, planning, and providing treatment based on physician referrals. The individual will treat patients with disabilities, disorders, and injuries to alleviate pain and develop, restore, or maintain physical function through various therapeutic methods, including exercise, massage, heat, cold, air, light, water, electricity, or sound. Collaboration with family members and healthcare team members regarding patients' abilities and goals is essential.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association.
Must meet the requisites for licensure as a Physical Therapist by the Oregon State Board of Health.
Current valid Oregon driver's license required.
Current CPR certification required.

Experience

Relevant experience is desirable, but not mandatory if educational requirements are satisfied.

Job Knowledge

Candidates must possess a comprehensive understanding of therapy procedures, current orthopedic and neurological follow-up procedures, and rehabilitation practices. A positive attitude and effective communication skills are essential. Strong teamwork skills, including interaction, support, and respect for colleagues, are required.

Skills

Ability to learn and utilize basic computer skills, such as locating and opening documents, completing forms, and sending email messages.

Shift Information

Work hours are Monday through Thursday, totaling 40 hours per week during daytime hours.
