Respiratory Therapist – RRT

Emerson Hospital is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care services to inpatient and outpatient patients of all ages. Reporting to the Director of Cardio/Pulmonary/Neurology/Sleep Disorders, the Respiratory Therapist will evaluate, treat, and reassess patients according to physician orders while working independently and collaborating closely with physicians and nursing staff.

The Respiratory Therapist will perform respiratory care procedures in accordance with hospital policies, participate in Code Team and Rapid Response Team activities, provide patient and family education, and assist with the orientation and training of respiratory and nursing personnel. Additional responsibilities include participating in quality improvement and departmental education initiatives, transporting patients, assisting with equipment and inventory management, and supporting patient rights, privacy, dignity, and quality of care.

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts
• 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• 36 hours/week
• No call
• Rotating holidays
• Flexibility with scheduling needs preferred
• ASAP start

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Previous Respiratory Therapy experience strongly preferred
• Previous patient care experience preferred
• Current Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist license
• RRT or CRT certification through NBRC
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required upon submission
