The Cath Lab Tech is responsible for assisting in cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional procedures within a short-term acute care setting. The role involves supporting complex cardiac procedures while adhering to patient safety and quality standards. Responsibilities:
- Operate and troubleshoot cath lab equipment, including MacLab, Xper, and Cerner systems.
- Assist physicians during EP, Structural Heart, and catheterization procedures.
- Monitor patient conditions and ensure proper preparation and post-procedure care.
- Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety.
- Document procedures accurately in Cerner and other designated charting systems.
- Hold a valid ARRT certification and current BLS and ACLS licensure.
- Two or more years of recent cath lab or interventional cardiology experience.
- Proven proficiency with EP procedures, Structural Heart, and MacLab systems.
- Ability to float within different hospital units as needed.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
