Learn more about this agency Duties Help The primary purpose of this position: is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) enlisted position in the Group Commander's Support Staff (CSS). As such, the incumbent will administer and direct the Group Commander's Support Staff functions to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Additionally, trains Reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein. DUTIES: DUTY 1: Plans, organizes, and oversees the full complement of activities within the Group Commander's Support Staff (CSS). Plans, organizes and executes all Group Information management and personnel activities. DUTY 2: Manages training programs for administration (3AIXI) and personnel (3S0XI) in accordance with established command guidelines. Serves as the Group point of contact and liaison with the servicing Force Support Squadron on personnel and manpower actions. DUTY 3: Prepares and delivers presentations such as briefings, training sessions, and consultations with serviced Commander, other staff agencies and functional areas to secure cooperation, resolve controversial matters and convey information. DUTY 4: Participates in special studies and projects relating to planning, coordinating, and analyzing the effectiveness/efficiency of the Group CSS in meeting Air Force Administration program goals. DUTY 5: Develops CSS consolidated resource plan for staff support to include budget, equipment, computers, supplies and required services. - In-depth knowledge of administrative and military personnel policies, procedures. Reserve mission, training methods and programs, rules, guidelines, and instructions. In-depth knowledge of the automated systems, personal computers, hardware, and software.
- Ability to analyze data/products. Ability to plan, organize and direct the functions and staff of an organization; communicate effectively with diverse groups of individuals, both orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of analytical and investigative techniques to measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity.
- Knowledge of management principles within both the civilian and military personnel systems, and the ability to integrate the civilian and military personnel aspects in order to successfully accomplish the organization's mission. Knowledge of administrative processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
- Knowledge of training goals and objectives to assist in the management and implementation of training goals for the CSS personnel.
- Incumbent must meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. The incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties; however, the incumbent may also be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities.
- Work schedules will be so aligned to allow individual to function fully on unit training assembly (UTA) weekends.
- The incumbent may be required to fly military or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty (TDY) assignments.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance, Secret.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
