Role Description Role Description The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Vitality Counseling, LLC is a full-time, on-site role based in Starkville, MS. This role involves conducting psychiatric evaluations, developing and adjusting treatment plans, and prescribing and managing psychotropic medications in collaboration with the counseling team. The practitioner will provide ongoing mental health care, including follow-up visits, medication monitoring, and psychoeducation for clients and their support systems. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate clinical documentation, participating in interdisciplinary case discussions, and coordinating care with therapists and other healthcare professionals. Compensation & Structure Compensation & Structure Compensation is structured as a competitive revenue split on collected insurance and private pay sessions. Our split is performance-based and designed to reward clinicians who build and maintain a consistent caseload, the more you produce, the more you earn. Specific terms are discussed during the interview process. You maintain clinical autonomy over your caseload and treatment approach Payments processed on a consistent biweekly schedule Clear, transparent path to increased earning potential as the clinic grows Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Mental Health Nursing and Nursing, with strong clinical assessment and patient care skills. Licensure and experience as a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Proficiency in Mental Health Care, including comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Specialized skills in Psychiatric Care, including medication management, risk assessment, and crisis intervention. Active MSN or higher degree in Nursing from an accredited institution; current unrestricted NP license in Mississippi (or eligibility to obtain). Active DEA License. National certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
