Restaurant General Manager

Employment Classification: Full Time, Exempt We\'re partnering with our clients in Minneapolis to identify the next rockstar GM for Khaluna by James Beard-nominated Chef Ann Ahmed. The restaurant features curated fair‑trade goods, private dining, cooking experiences, and a welcoming outdoor patio that invites guests to linger and connect. The General Manager serves as the operational leader of the restaurant, overseeing all aspects of daily performance while ensuring excellence in guest experience, team development, and financial results. This individual will lead by example, maintain a strong presence on the floor, and foster a culture of hospitality, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all daily restaurant operations, ensuring excellence in service, hospitality, cleanliness, and food quality. Lead, coach, and develop front and back-of-house management teams. Manage staffing, scheduling, labor, inventory, and operational performance. Recruit, hire, train, and retain top hospitality talent. Resolve guest concerns while creating memorable dining experiences. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and liquor regulations. Partner with ownership and the leadership team to achieve operational and financial objectives. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Maintain a visible presence on the floor, supporting both guests and team members as needed. Required Skills and Education: At least 3 years of General Manager experience in an upscale or high-volume full-service restaurant. Proven success leading multiple departments and management-level employees. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-focused environment. Self-motivated, proactive, and highly accountable. Comfortable making independent decisions and leading with minimal supervision. Values providing mentorship and developing future leaders. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and move throughout the shift, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform routine bending, stooping, and reaching. Comfortable working in kitchen environments with varying temperatures and exposure to common allergens. Proficient with basic technology and typing. Capable of maintaining food safety and quality standards. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Asian cuisine and beverage programs preferred. Experience with Toast, OpenTable, HotSchedules, or similar hospitality systems. Competitive salary of $70,000 - $100,000 per year (based on experience).
