Patient Access Manager

Updated: July 21, 2026 Location: Chicago, IL, United States Job ID: 17161 As the Patient Access Manager, you will be responsible for the successful launch of patient access initiatives within the assigned geographic region. You will lead a team of Patient Access Specialists and ensure that their activities achieve the organization’s objectives. Responsibilities Lead, manage, and develop the skill sets and performance of the Patient Access Specialists to achieve or exceed specific business goals. Direct Specialists in providing reimbursement education and leveraging patient healthcare information (PHI) for neuroscience products. Develop plans that effectively help Specialists translate and support the benefits investigation and prior‑authorization processes for neuroscience products and administration/observation. Provide communication and motivation to all district members toward delivering the expectations of the customer, reinforcing a customer‑driven culture. Remain fully versed in compliance regulations, including legal and regulatory requirements, and ensure the team is equally trained. Qualifications 8+ years of experience in reimbursement, contract strategy, managed care sales, Part B/Medical benefit, and/or healthcare/pharmaceuticals. Specialty pharmacy channel experience; CMS policy and process knowledge. Current driver’s license in good standing with the ability to travel overnight up to 75 %. Must live within or close to the territory boundaries. Desired Requirements Advanced degree. 3+ years in a reimbursement and access leadership position. Experience in the CNS therapeutic area. Annual Base Salary: $180,000 to $190,000. The salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position and may vary based on qualifications and performance. Some positions may include a company car or car allowance, and eligibility to earn commissions or bonuses based on company and/or individual performance.
