Special Education Paraeducator (High School)

Position: Special Education Paraeducator Positions / Grades K - 22Location: Ida Crown Jewish Academy High School / Skokie, ILor Solomon Schechter Therapeutic Day School, K-8 / Northbrook, ILSupervisor: Therapeutic Day School ManagerWages: Starting at $35,000 per year with no experience / up to $40,000 based on experience and education ($24.00 to $27.00 per hour)Status: Full-time / 12-month / Salary / Non-exemptSUMMARYThe Special Education Paraeducator/Teacher's Assistant will work with students in our self-contained special education classrooms. The Paraeducator will assist students with academic, nonacademic, social, health and emotional needs of the students in the special education and general community environments.This position will also assist teachers and related service personnel with meeting the IEP needs of students. The Paraeducator will provide supported instruction and strategies to individual students, small groups of students as well as monitor students per the instruction of the teacher.
